Heal the Whole

Our weak areas are not
All That Define Us.

Our
False Sense of Self
(story)
is not
Who We Really Are.

We must
remind ourselves often that we
already know this to be true.

Break the Trance...
(and make the necessary repairs).

Heal the Whole.

Friends & Enemies

Friends are those we hold
close to our hearts,
with loving trust and caring.

Barriers exist between enemies
and ourselves, protecting us
one from the other.

Friends are sometimes
enemies,
and enemies are sometimes
friends.

Our biggest enemy lies
within, when we are
at war with ourselves....

Barriers break down
connection, and the
ongoing flow of all that is.

Self-Loving

Do you ever experience sadness? regret? envy? resentment? longing?

If you do, do you resist it, pushing it away and attempting to replace it with some other feeling?

Do you set it loose and allow it to wreak havoc upon your Life until it loses momentum?

Or do you embrace it, simply allowing it to Be, holding it close to one's heart as a dearly Beloved Friend, staying fully present with it until it's stopped its squalling and nestled back into your Essence as a welcomed part of your whole?

Which approach is more Self-Loving?

Which sets the better example for how we should treat one another?

Kindness to Self makes one a kinder person.
Kinder people contribute to a kinder Reality,
and create a more caring World.

Don't we therefore have a responsibility to the World to treat ourselves (including our emotions and perceptions) with Loving Kindness, first and foremost?

If I had a way of whispering into the ear of a younger me: #1

If I had a way of whispering into the ear of a younger me, one thing I would tell her would be:

Never allow yourself to become isolated.

And should you be caught off-guard one day by the realization that you have indeed become isolated, do something about it immediately!

Because without people to share life's joys and sorrow's, and without the inspiration of others who have survived the rough terrain you are currently hiking, and without a sense of being of service to someone who can really use your help....

... one's own particular set of challenges and obstacles becomes center stage of one's life--and takes on the proportions of an immovable mountain.

And everything seems so monumental, because there is nothing to help keep it all in perspective.

We need people to serve.
We need people to emulate.
We need people to talk to.
We need people to care about.
We need people to see us.

When we don't feel seen, we don't feel worthwhile.

ABOUT ME

My photo
A few years ago I wandered from the path of health and well-being, gradually overwhelmed by depression, fibromyalgia, overall deteriorating health and obesity. Inside and out, I feel terrible and look worse. I am now working towards reclaiming my health and well-being. My goal is to achieve and maintain a way of living that leaves me feeling--and looking--GREAT!
